ABOUT :

Sole Satana is a documentary and fine art photographer based in Murcia, Spain. She studied Audiovisual Image (2009-2011) and Artistic Photography (2011-2012). Satana's work has been exhibited in Murcia and Krakow and has been featured in various online publications including British Journal of Photography, Der Greif, It's Nice That, Metal Magazine and PHmuseum among others. Her first photobook, Fiambre, coauthored with her partner JD Valiente was published by No-Plata in 2019.

Her photos are closely related to her personal life and interests. Most of them tell the story of her life experiences and her surroundings. She is interested in reclaim the aesthetics of the ugliness, the bizarre, the bad taste, the decadence.

Her work is also focused on documenting traditions, events, customs and manners of cultures and society, but always under a subjective point of view and taking it to her field, trying to convey her sensations and the atmosphere more than the fact itself.
